despatch of the 8th of February No 30 and to state in reply by desire of His Excellency Sir Richard Graves MacDonnell that
whilst it is very gratifying to receive intelligence of the withdrawal of so abnoxious a Proclamation as that issued by the Superintendent of Customs in the month of November last, it would be still more satisfactory if any adequate security were offered for the non-revival of
